Super Duty F-Series -- One in a
Million
Louisville, KY, September 20,
2000 - Ford's Super Duty F-Series trucks are officially one in a million, and
the Company celebrated the milestone today at its Kentucky Truck Plant in
Louisville. There, a very special truck rolled off the assembly line - the
one millionth Super Duty F-Series to be produced since the vehicle's major
redesign for the 1999 model year.
On hand for the celebration were Kentucky Truck Plant Manager Frank Foley, UAW
Chair Dickey Sutton, Super Duty F-Series Marketing Manager Lew Echlin and
Over-8500-Pound GVW Truck Vehicle Line Director Bill Osborne.
"The men and women of Kentucky Truck Plant have worked hard and with pride to
build this important truck for Ford Motor Company and its customers," says
Foley. "Building one million trucks in two short years is definitely
something to celebrate."
Very Important Customers
Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without loyal Super Duty
F-Series customers who have continued demand for the trucks and propelled
sales of the Super Duty to approximately 40 percent of total F-Series sales.
