Last thing my rear window does not come down. The key does not work
and neither
does the switch. I have checked the fuse panel it seems to
be Todd,
In regards to the back window on your Bronco, the power for the motor
AND
the switch in the tailgate that is operated with the key, comes through
the switch in the front, if you are getting juice to it, I would guess
that the switch is bad, only because I had the exact same problem. the
best thing to do is to
trouble shooot the switch to make sure it is bad before going to get
another one, but I would say from prior experience that is what it is .

I had the same motor and it did the same thing. I think if you let it
drain for a few days it would get most of the oil out and you'd get
almost 6 in there. Dry it probably holds 6 qts. I never had to add
more than 5 to get it to a reasonable level.

I have the exact same situation with my 85 351 since new, I've never
let it worry me and I've never had a problem with it either. Half quart
above(on the dipstick) on the engine won't hurt anything. After all it's a
FORD.
P.S. I always pre-fill the oil filter on oil changes to give the
engine a little break on first start up. Walt

Go for the Helm's, well worth it. It's complete, and it IS the Ford shop
manual. You might consider the CD Rom version if you want to spend the
duckies. JMHO

Actually, if you check the =factory= service manuals, you'll see that
for many Ford engines, that slight "overfill" condition is normal when
doing aa complete oil change.

The factory manuals from Helm is the way to go. They are clearly
superior and contain information that you'll find nowhere else.

I am parting with my 5.0HO, and I plan to build a carb' ed 351W for my
ride. The 302 has 34,000 miles on it.
The motor itself is complete with the exception of the distributor. I
have most of the accessories, as well, such as throttle body, MAF, power
steering, air cond., engine harness, factory headers. I am missing the
firewall harness, the EEC-IV computer, and the alternator. This motor is
squeaky clean. The crank has been turned 1/4 turn per week to prevent
the valve springs from getting weak. I'm asking $1200 for the motor.
Any takers?
